C-47S in Britain

Douglas C-47s transferred to the French Air Corps and manned by French crews are hustling critical supplies right up to advanced airfields from the huge Air Technical Service Command depots in Britain. While the French and American crews finish loading a C-47, French officers discuss final arrangements for delivery. They are: Captain Robert Franckard (second from left) French Air Corps chief pilot; and Captain Raymond Franceries, French Liaison Officer to the U.S.A.A.F. England.
