C-47 at French Fighter-Bom

Douglas C-47s transferred to the French Air Corps and manned by French crews are hustling critical supplies right up to advanced airfields from the huge Air Technical Service Command depots in Britain. This C-47 touches down at the French fighter-bomber base where Republic P-47 "Thunderbolts" like the one in the foreground, await the parts and equipment it brings. French ground crews are on hand with trucks to unload the plane.
