A NINTH AIR FORCE TROOP CARRIER COMMAND STATION, England. A Douglas C-47 transport is shown pulling a British-built "Horsa" type glider, loaded with Yank airborne infantry, into the air in the early morning of 6 June 44 as the 9th Air Force Troop Carrier Command sends reinforcements to the paratroopers dropped behind Nazi lines in France earlier the same day.
