Brig Pritchard with 51st Troop Carrier Wing

The British Paratrooper in the foreground, with folded arms, is Brig. C. H. V. Pritchard, Commanding No. 2 Independent Parachute Brigade Group. The General was the first paratrooper to drop out of the troop carriers of the 51st Troop Carrier Wing, 12th Air Force. He is 38, comes from the West of England. He led the British paratroopers who came down on the Greek airfield.
