Bombers raid Messina Sicily

Hits were scored on the railway south of the train ferry terminus and in the neighborhood of the customs house and infantry barracks during this raid by heavy bombers of the U.S.S.A.A.F. on Messina, Sicily and columns of smoke are seen rising from buildings on the quayside and near the ferry operating gear at the terminus (bottom centre).
