NIGHT AND DAY, the bombers of Mediterranean Allied Air Forces have worked on the plan called "Operation Strangle", designed to cut all methods of carrying supplies down through Middle Italy. Photo above shows the damage done to the marshalling yards at Padua by the night-bombing RAF Wellingtons on 23/24 March 1944.
