Bombers attack Brest Peninsula

Both targets covered with compact clusters of bombs is the story told by this picture taken 3 Sept 44 as 8th Air Force bombers attacked gun emplace-ments and a fortress on the Brest, France peninsula. Bombs are crashing into gun sites on the rocky coast and when the smoke clears from the gun emplace-ments, concentrations covering the large fortress farther inland can be seen.
