Bomber Mechanics At New Airstrip

Working under the direction of aviation engineers, mechanics from the rank of private to master sergeant rolled up their sleeves or shed their shirts to help complete the building. Until the structure was complete, the mechanics were obliged to eat in tents or in the open. Man approaching the mixer at extreme right is master sergeant crew chief of a bomber.
