Bombardier in bombing position

Bombardier 1st Lt. Owen G. Cooper, Baltimore, Md., is shown in the exact position he must be in when making the bombing run. Crouched over the bomb sight with his eye glued to the sighting mechanism, his body is very cramped. As soon as the bombing run is completed he will swing his machine-gun controls into position. They are located at his right elbow.
