UP IN THE BOMB BAY, Cpl. Earl H. Johnson (left), McAdenville, N.C. and Sgt. Wm. Polak, Binghamton, N.Y., are meanwhile checking the bomb releases before cranking the bomb into position. Over the target the bomb bay doors are electrically opened and the bombs released automatically at the proper time by the bomb sight in the nose of the ship.
