WITH MAJ. GEN. DOOLITTLE'S STRATEGIC B-25 MITCHELL BOMBERS, NORTH AFRICA. Bergatroid, sad-faced mascot of a North American B-25 Mitchell bomber squadron, takes his mess-kit and "sweats out" the chow line. The little burrow, purchased by Lt. Edward Perry of Providence, R.I., from an Arab for $5.00, loves to hang around the boys at chow time, knowing that he will get plenty to eat. When his squadron moved to its present location, he flew down with Pilot Major Raymond D. Sampson, Chicago, Ill., who did a few aerobatics to see what effect it would have on him. Bergatroid wasn't even phased.
