Beach with concrete pyramids on French Riviera
FRANCE - Dicing missions along the entire French Riviera revealed amazing differences in the strength of shore defenses, and influenced the choice of landing points accordingly. Shown here is a beach studded with concrete pyramids, with barbed wire back of them, and pill boxes (not visible) back of that. Pyramids are shown in process of installation. Those at right of picture have been transported to the beach in small flat cars, will be run down to shallow water and dumped off.
