B26 Marauders after collision

Here are the Martin B-26 Marauders "GOATEE HELL" and "MARTY MARAUDER" after a freak landing accident caused their collision. When inspectors condemned both planes as unfit for further service, boys of a Ninth Air Force Service Group volunteered to donate their spare time, cut both planes apart in the middle and combined them into one first-class medium bomber. They did it in less than three weeks! France.
