B-29 Superfortress at Marianas base

After five missions to Honshu,"Pacific Queen", 21st Bomber Command Boeing B-29 Superfortress required the ministrations of service group personnel at their base in the Marianas. Service groups, trained for their jobs by Air Technical Service Command, render much of the maintenance service required by the big aircraft. Mobile repair units of the service groups (right) provided needed tools for the overhaul job.
