Bombs from a formation of Martin B-26 "Marauders" of the Tactical Air Force frame this picture of the East Gilette Highway Bridge over the Var River in South-Eastern France. "Bridge busting" attacks on enemy communications became a speciality of the "Marauders", and this target was no exception.
