B-26 Marauders near Euskirchen
FRANCE - Fresh blows to Germany's serious supply shortage were dealt by Ninth Air Force Martin B-26 Marauders whose bombs destroyed heavily-stocked warehouses near Euskirchen, 20 miles southwest of Cologne. Considered one of the principal supply depots for Nazi forces facing the U.S. First Army, the Euskirchen warehouses were hammered twice in one day by U.S. medium bombers from French bases.
