B-26 Marauder over Po Valley
Leaving a towering column of smoke and debris, 8,000 feet high behind it, a Martin B-26 Marauder of the 1st Tactical Air Force heads for home after blasting a Nazi fuel dump at Collecchio in the Po Valley. This pinpoint blasting of German supplies and communications is typical of the work of the Marauders, of the Mediterranean's oldest medium bomb group, already cited for their work on the Rome and Florence rail yards. 12th Air Force 319th Bm.
