B-26 Marauder over England

A NINTH AIR FORCE BOMBER BASE, England:---"OUR BOMBS HIT DIRECTLY ON ONE SPAN"--- That's what Ninth Air Force Martin B-26 Marauder Crews said after watching their bombs hit the Seine River highway bridge at Mantes-Gassicourt 20 miles west of Paris. The above bomb strike photo taken from one of the Marauders fails to reveal a single wasted bomb and not a single hit was registered in the adjoining riverside residential area. Later, reconnaissance reported "The structure was completely demolished."
