B-26 Marauder crewmen between missions

The intensive air offensive carried out by Lt. Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg's 9th A.F. against German and supply lines permitted these Martin B-26 Marauder crewmen time enough for only sandwiches and coffee between two four-hour missions. Their food was hauled to dispersal areas and served from a truck as the airmen awaited a second take-off to hit a target where the enemy was moving troops to strengthen defense lines.
