B-25's over Sedes airfield

Swathes of destruction were cut across Sedes airfield (left) & nearby Megalo Mikra Field (right) with 24.2 tons of fragmentation bombs dropped from 10,000 feet by 35 North American B-25's, escorted by 35 Lockheed P-38's. The landing & dispersal areas & hangars & administration bldgs. were peppered. Areas hit later in the attack are enclosed by dotted line. 11 enemy aircraft were destroyed on the ground.
