B-25 Mitchells over Northern Italy

Two trim North American B-25 Mitchells of the 12th Air Force, part of a precision-bombing formation over the rail bridge near Torre Beretti, in Northern Italy, drop their bombs in neat rows of four. The bridge, a key communications link 50 miles southwest of Milan, was well-hit, making the German supply problem to his Po Valley forces more difficult.
