B-25 Mitchell comes in for belly landing

With only the nose-wheel down, the crippled North American B-25 Mitchell Bomber, "Angel of Mercy", comes in for a belly landing after a rough mission. Enemy flak wrecked the hydraulic system and the main landing gear would not go down, so the crew decided to crash-land. This photo was taken just as the nose wheel touched the runway.
