B-25 Mitchell bombers hit Split

In continuing operations to hamper German supply lines, B-25 Mitchell bombers of the U.S. Army 12th Air Force hit the Adriatic port of Split, Yougoslavia, used by the Nazis to supply their troops in that country. Note that the smoke from bomb bursts rising from the harbor installations is in a comparatively limited target area, with the balance of the town unhit.
