Clusters of fragmentation bombs are being loaded in the bomb bay of this B-25 Mitchell bomber while high octane gas is pumped into the tanks. Mitchells of the 12th AAF used these "frags" with great effectiveness against German troop concentrations opposing the Fifth Army beachhead south of Rome.
