B-25 HAWKEYE in Algiers

Algiers, Algeria - Cpl. Thomas W. Sapp, Woodlyane, N.J. of a Service Squadron, repairing the landing gear door of the North American B-25 "HAWKEYE", which was shot up by a ME 109 in a mission over northern Sardinia. The gunner, S/Sgt. Raymond A. Morris, Ashland, Wis., destroyed the ME 109 and Lt. John C. Stewart, pilot from Woodward, S.C., brought the ship home safely.
