B-25 Group celebrates V-E Day

No, it's not the fourth of July, but it was certainly a cause for celebration-- for it was V-E Day. That night, the boys of a Twelfth Air Force North American B-25 Group, who dealt such devastating aerial blows at the Germans in Italy, really let loose. This unique photo, shows flares, usually used for aerial signals, being shot into the sky -- the overseas version of fireworks.
