B-24s over Labuan

First to strike Labuan, oil and shipping center on western Borneo, N.E. I., Consolidated B-24s of the 13th AAF -- the "Jungle Air Force" -- return to polish off more warehouses, supplies and personnel areas. Expert bombing by the Liberators of the 13th's "Long Rangers" group laid 80 per cent of the explosives in the narrow target area, destroyed 14 buildings and started a large explosion followed by a huge column of white smoke.
