B-24's destroy bridge on Burma Siam road

The railroad bypass bridge at Hninpale, halfway between Pegu and Martaban on the Burma Siam road, is destroyed by Consolidated B-24's of the Seventh Group. Note the unserviceable bypass bridge in the center of the photograph and the knocked out main bridge to the right - both the result of previous bombing by Eastern Air Command's Strategic Air Force. Positions of two spans lie in the river at the right of the picture.
