FROM A 15th AIR FROCE HEAVY BOMBER BASE....10 January 1944...Consolidated B-24 BOMBER PILOT, 2nd Lt. Leland H. Henderson of 4113 44th Street, Seattle, Washington, crawls up on top of his compartment for a look at the hole in his window. Although Lt. Henderson was sprayed with glass, the fragment lodged harmlessly behind his head. The anti-aircraft fire was encounted while bombing the airdrome at Mostar, Yugoslavia.
