B-24 Liberators over Jesselton airdrome

When the smoke cleared away, the great damage at Jesselton airdrome was visible to reconnaissance cameramen who followed the Fightin' 13th AAF's "Long Ranger" Consolidated B-24 Liberator formation. The craters running down the concrete runway knocked out the strip. Five twin engine Jap bombers and three fighters were destroyed by the "jungle AF" raiders, with another bomber damaged.
