German Island Garrison near St. Malo is hit by Consolidated B-24 Liberators. The B-24's attack in bright midday sun. From thousands of feet above the island stronghold which looks like one huge billowing mass of smoke and flames as the 2000 pound bombs silence the big guns. Approximately two thirds of the missiles hit within 500 feet of the target.
