B-24 Liberators attack Reggio Emilia airdrome

Believed to be a ferry base for planes from German factories, the airdrome at Reggio Emilia, northwest of Florence, Italy, was attacked by Consolidated B-24 Liberators of the 15th AAF on May 14. Smoke and dust rising from the target area give evidence of the good coverage of the field. With hits scored on hangars at the north, blast shelters and workshops in the southwest.
