B-24 Liberators attack East Coast Route

Location: On East Coast Route between Ancona and Pescara; MR point C 0349. Attacks: 1) 24 March. 15 B-24 Liberators dropped 39 tons of bombs. Reconnaissance showed road bridge severed and railroad line cut by pair of craters on each end of bridge. 2) Since included photo was taken the following attacks: 8 April, 23 Baltimores and 19 Kittyhawks dropped 11 x 1000, 54 x 500, 69x 250, 26 x 40 lb. bombs. Half of railroad bridge destroyed.
