B-24 Liberators attack Brasov rail yards

Consolidated B-24 Liberators of the 15th AAF attacked the rail yards of Brasov, Rumania, on April 16, with the main concentration of hits across the center of the yards and extending to the choke point, cutting the lines to the west in several places. Brasov on the northern slope of the Transylvanian Alps on an escape route for German troops fighting in northern Rumania, is about 175 miles from Russian troops fighting in that sector.
