B-24 Liberator over Nice France
Consolidated B-24 Liberator leaving target-railroad yards at Nice, France and the Var River Bridge, 5 miles southwest of Nice, on 26 May 44, caused heavy damage. On May 25, 26, and 27, Liberators and Fortresses bombed railroad yards, communication lines, bridges and airdromes in southern France, battering the two main routes to Italy.
