B-24 Liberator over invisible oil plane

The Consolidated B-24 Liberator "Pathfinder" dropped sky markers, parachute flares, and five hundred pounders on an invisible oil plant which showed up as a cluster of pin points of light on the Mickey screen. Using the marker and flares as guides, successive formations, unequipped with Mickey, dropped their bombs on a target which could not be seen with the naked eye. AN/APS-15.
