Almost engulfing this Consolidated B-24 "Liberator" of the 15th Air Force is a column of smoke that rises from the Dubova oil refinery in Czeshoslovakia, as heavy bombers attacked the source of the Hun's dwindling oil supply in the "Festung Europe" (Fortress Europe), on 20 August 1944. boiler house, distillation and cracking units, asphalt treatment plant and storage area.
