As this Consolidated B-24 Liberator of the 864th Bomb Squadron, 494th Bomb Group, came in for a landing on Barking Sands Airstrip, the tire on the nose wheel blew out, causing the nose of the plane to plow through the sand. Kauai, Hawaii, 2 November 1944.
