B-24 Liberator on Adriatic shore

Men against the sky--are these three members of the Air Service Command as they prepare an airplane engine for installation of a re-conditioned propeller. The plane, a Consolidated B-24 Liberator, had made a crash landing on the shore of the Adriatic Sea, within sight of the Italian battle-lines, and these men and eight others did a complete repair job in only 12 days. On top of the engine is Sgt. John A. Spino, 630 Euclid Ave., Greensburg, Pa. On stand, is Sgt. Noble F. Hunt, RFD #5, Evansville, Ind., while right is Cpl. Royce W. McWilliams, 2207 9th Ave., Greeley, Colo.
