Gunners of the Consolidated B-24 Liberator "All American" based in Italy, knocked down 14 German fighter planes during the attack on the Hermann Goering tank works at Linz, Austria, 7/25/44. From left to right, standing are: S/Sgt Elza S. Massie, 35, tail gunner, 308 Brooklyn Ave., Dayton, Ohio; T/Sgt Eric. English, 24, left waist gunner, 2112 San Antonio St., San Angelo, Tex; S/Sgt Roy M. Walkama, 19, ball turret gunner, 1132 Cloverland Dr., Ironwood, Mich; Sgt Warren H. Moss, 22, nose turret gunner, Ravenswood, W. Va; all of whom are credited with two victories. Men downing three were: T/Sgt Hugh G. Baker, 26, top turret gunner, 945 N. Parkway, Memphis, Tenn; and Sgt Robert L. Molyneux, 28, right waist gunner, 17 N. Clinton St., Dansville, N.Y.
