B-24 Liberator Crash Near Barking Sands

Men attempt to raise the nose of a Consolidated B-24 Liberator of the 864th Bomb Squadron, 494th Bomb Group, which crash landed near the Barking Sands Airstrip on Kauai, Hawaii, 2 November 1944. Men are packed inside the fuselage near the tail to weight it down, and others tug on ropes attached to the rear gun mount.
