B-24 Krachy Kourier at CBI theatre

The main purpose of the CBI Sound Recording Unit is to get on-the-spot recordings of events in the theatre. Here, a sound recording is made as the Consolidated B-24 "KRACHY KOURIER" of the 425th Bomb Squadron, 308th Bomb Group, starts its engines. The truck (fore-ground) housing the unit is covered with a makeshift canvas arrange-ment to keep out the wind and the sand. China, 4 May 1944.
