B-17s smash San Stefano Axis base

San Stefano smashed. Bursts of high explosive bombs can be seen directly in the target area, as the B-17's complete their mission of destruction on this vital Axis supply base. Out of approximately 80 craft of all sizes within the harbor, photo interpreters estimated over half destroyed or severely damaged. Also blocked was a rail tunnel feeding into the main Rome-Leghorn coastal railroad.
