Boeing B-17's of the 15th Air Force head for their bomb runs over the complex rail facilities in the Vienna area on 12 March 1945. Heavies of the 15th Air Force are striking deeper and deeper into Nazi held territory, paralyzing supply lines and the remaining resources left to the Nazis, and striking in direct support of the grinding offensives on the ground from east and west. 419th BS 301
