Kehm, 3348 Ames Ave., Omaha, Nebraska, Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress pilot, is shown with a piece of flak which failed to injure him because he was wearing the new Sullivan Helmet, The Sullivan helmet was invented by Sgt. Forest Starling of Perry, Iowa, and Capt. Jonas B. Weiss, University City, Mo., and is now being used by combat crews in the Mediterranean theatre.
