B-17 in snow storm England

No, it's not the Washington Monument, but the high vertical tail of a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, barely discernible as a heavy snow storm blankets heavy bomber bases in England. Crewmen of this group, like others, worked all night clearing the wet snow from runways and airplanes so that the giant Fortresses could take off at dawn in an attack on German lines in cooperation with Allied ground forces.
