This formation of Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortresses" of the 452nd Bomb Group enroute to blast German targets in France as part of the general plan to pulverize all vitally important war objectives. Nazi airfield at Bordeaux, France, was the target of this mission, 27 March 1944. (Altitude 20,000 feet). Taken by S/Sgt. Jack Rippberger.
