On 6 March 1944 during the bomb run over Berlin, Germany, Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortress" of the 452nd Bomb Group opened its bomb bay door and will soon be directly over the target to drop another load of bombs. B-17s of the 452nd Bomb Group (8th Air Force) continually blasted at every operational enemy factory, oil refinery, and every airfield. (Note pre-frontal weather conditions.)
