B-17 Flying Fortress near Bournemouth

Members of a mobile repair unit of the 8th Air Force Service Command repair the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, "Stella", which crash landed in a field in Nr. Bournemouth, Hants, England. This repair unit was rushed to the scene of the landing where repairs were made without removing the plane to a depot. 28 April 1943.
