Awaiting the return of their Flying Fortresses from a U.S. Army 8th AF bomber mission to Germany, these ground crew men get in a bit of spring football training. It's a welcome respite from the many hours of hard work they've put in getting their bombers ready. Soon the returning bombers will zoom overhead and these men will go back to work for the next mission. The tent in the background near the grounded Fortress is used by the mechanics for sleeping quarters.
